Planning Your Event

Chris keeps things simple for hosts — here’s all it takes.

Setup & A/V

  • A TV or projector for slides — Chris can present right from his laptop, or bring a thumb drive, whichever is easiest for you
  • Outdoors or under a tent, a TV usually shows the flowers best — bright sun can wash out a projector
  • If you have room, a table or two near the speaking area for bulb and book sales & signing
  • A volunteer or two to lend a hand with setup and sales is always appreciated

Format & Timing

  • Talks run about an hour, plus Q&A — and Chris is happy to tailor the program to your group
  • Mornings and early afternoons work best
  • Evening events involve an overnight stay — just ask early and we’ll see what’s possible
