Adelaide, if you’re reading this, we should go walk the Trinity River trail and look for blooms of the Cooperia drumondii we planted 3 years ago. Mine are just now blooming! This is a native rain lily in Texas discovered by none other than the famous plantsman Thomas Drummond who explored across Louisiana and Texas (among other places) during the early 1800s.
My one bloom isn’t much to speak of, but they make seed and I’m looking forward to having plenty more!
I loaded up 10 dogwoods in my truck today from a tree farm. I forget how big a 005-gallon tree can be!
