Ol’ Ags and New Seeds

Spent the night with some old friends/roommates from college in Houston tonight! Former students of Texas A&M are sometimes called ol’ Ags and unfortunately, we all are getting older! We were in the Corps of Cadets together in Company C-2 where my nickname was of course “flower!” Life continues in spite of us all getting.

Gardening in the Cracks

Had a good bulb hunt today but the pics weren’t that exciting (I’ll post the pics once I filter through them). What I did enjoy was the reseeding annuals I saw popping up in the cracks of a cement driveway. I knew petunias would do this, but I didn’t know a salvia (the blue).

Cookies and Crinums

Rebecca and I made it to College Station and had some delightful cookies waiting for us. We devoured them next to a simple arrangement of a crinum with Confederate jasmine as the base. The fragrance is wonderful, and the brevity of the design is even more refreshing. The crinum is ‘Diane Welch’ selected/bred by Greg.

Well, pass-a-long magnolia blooms to clarify my blog title. We were given one by some friends in the Azalea District in Tyler, TX.
